Congratulations Nick & Katie

My brother Nick got married to his best friend Katie on Friday. The wedding was really nice, it was small and simple but at the same time very beautiful. We are so happy for them!

Free Kittens!!!

It all started when I was a senior in High School when a friend gave me one of her kittens that her cat had, we named the kitten "Spunky". Spunky is a good cat but she is getting old and fat so my dad decided to get her a friend to keep her happy. He bought a Bob-cat breed of a house cat with a bob-tail and 6 toes on its back feet, very rare and you need a permit to own a cat like this. We call this cat "Stubby". Stubby and Spunky are good friends and both live in my dads basement. Then along came "Flower" who is a stray cat that started hanging around the house and Kaitlynn loved it and fed it and gave it a name. She became part of the family this year. A few months ago Flower started getting a little round belly and apparently it only takes about 60 days for a cat to have kittens. She decided to give birth to her 5 kittens in a box full of junk in my dads garage. (The little runt couldn't get enough to eat and died one week later.) My dad made a nice little bed for them in the back corner and Flower was very happy about that. Now the kittens are about 1 month old and will need a home soon. They are pretty cute, we have a calico female, 2 black and white males, and an orange male. The orange one has a nice home waiting but the others are up for grabs.

And just when my parents thought they were empty nesters their house is over run with pets.

Take Me Out To The Ball Game!

Our new fun thing is to go to the Orem Owlz baseball games. We usually go on Rays day off if there is a home game. It's pretty fun especially if it's an exciting game like last night. We have never seen the Owlz lose a game! So if you are in the Orem area and need something to pass the time, check out the Owlz schedule.

Nursery

After a year in the Primary Presidency in our ward, I have been called to be the new Nursery leader. I am happy about the change, although I really enjoyed being in the presidency. I love the people I served with and learned some new skills that will help me in other areas of life.

Nursery is a lot less stress and a ton more fun! Who else at church gets to play with toys, color, sing songs AND have snack time?! I have always loved working with kids, especially the little ones and to be able to do what I love and fulfill my calling at the same time is awesome!

Congratulations Naomi & Jason

Rays sister Naomi found the love of her life Jason. They were married on May 30th. We are so happy for them both. The wedding was beautiful and it was great to see everyone who came from out of town.

Disneyland Trip

I know I haven't posted for a while so here ya go....
The first week in May my family went to Disneyland. We took our car that carried Ray, me and my mom, and Jennifer's car had my dad, Kaitlynn, Jen and DeWayne. We stopped in Las Vegas on the way there and stayed at Circus Circus, which is a good place to stay if you have kids or don't gamble. We went to the "Circus" there where Kaitlynn played some carnival type games and won 2 flowers!
We got to California with no "major" problems. Jennifer's car was having some stalling issues so we had to call on our favorite mechanic Uncle Bill. He had it fixed and ready to go in a few days! We stayed at our timeshare which is only 1/2 mile from the entrance to Disneyland.
Disneyland was great. Kaitlynn had a lot of fun seeing all the characters, by the end of the three days she was pretty good at getting them to notice her. She was even able to see the Princesses (which is quite the accomplishment). We spent three days between Disneyland and California Adventure which is the perfect amount of time in my opinion. We were able to let Kaitlynn do all the "kiddie" stuff and have fun with her without feeling like we were waisting our time and missing the good rides. Ray and I have been to Disneyland more recently then the rest of the family so we were kind of the leaders and everyone was asking us where to go next and what would be fun. Our last day at Disneyland Aunt Paula and Jake met me and Ray there and we went on some rides with them. By the 3rd day Ray and I were pretty wore out but Jake kept us going with his energy. That night we went to dinner with Bill, Paula and Jake. It was great to see them and catch up a little. The guys and I also went to an Angels game while we were there (but Ray still hasn't had his caramel corn).
On our way home we stayed in Las Vegas at our timeshare there and had fun swimming, Ray was even able to get his "In-n-Out" fix. We all made it home safe and sound and spent the next few weeks editing the video that Jen and DeWayne took on their video camera. It turned out pretty good if I do say so myself.
DeWayne told Kaitlynn that she had to wait until she is 10-years-old to go to Disneyland again, but my dad said he is not going until he has another grandkid that is 5... so we'll see.

Moe's Dirtheadz

I joined a city leauge softball team and we are the Dirtheadz sponsored by Moe's Bar in Orem. My sister plays pool at Moe's and the softball team needed more girls on it so they asked me if I wanted to play. Our first game was last friday and I was picked to be the catcher. It was a lot of fun but we realized our team is not verry good. We lost 4-20. We had a practice wednesday and played friday, I think we improved. Jennifer and I both got on base this time, (we never made it to home plate) we lost 4-17. The owner of the bar was surprised at how dramatically we lost our first game and my sister Jennifer said, "well Moe, what do you expect when you get a bunch of drunks together to play softball?". I think as the weeks go on we will get better and even if we don't its fun to play and have something to do with my family while Ray is working.
